Gagan Bahadur Bhandari from Temal Rural Municipality-1, Amal Tare, Kavrepalanchok, who went missing after being swept away by a river, has been found dead.
He was swept away by a sudden flood in the Jhigu River around 8:45 PM on Friday while he was irrigating his field. A search was carried out throughout the night.
According to District Police Office Kavrepalanchok spokesperson Min Ghale, his body was found today at 11 AM on the banks of the Sunkoshi River during a continuous search by locals, police, and rescue teams.
Locals said there were minor injuries on his head and bleeding from his ears. He was known as an active farmer in the area.
Earlier, the District Administration Office had issued a warning to residents living near the area where he went missing and along the Sunkoshi River to stay alert.
