After heavy rainfall in China, a flood in the Lhende River has caused damage in different parts of Rasuwa. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the flood hit Gosaikunda Rural Municipality Ward 2.
The flood swept away a weighing machine from the customs yard in Timure. The authority said the flood started around 2 AM after water from China entered the Lhende River.
As the water level is still high, people living near the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading have been asked to stay alert. Authorities have also urged people not to go fishing in the river or collect wood floating in the flood.
