Bhupen Shamsher Kunwar, the director of LOD (Lord of the Drinks) Club, has stated that work is underway to market LOD in the international arena. During an interaction held at the club on Monday evening, he informed that since the club has already established an international identity, there are plans to take it to the global market.

Director Kunwar also shared that renovations are being carried out to transform the club’s interior design. According to him, new seating arrangements have been implemented, and there are plans to change the lighting, music system, and overall interior design.

“We are moving forward with how to market LOD more extensively in the international market,” he said. “Along with this, there are plans to organize large-scale events featuring national and international artists. The way we welcome guests and patrons will also be made more effective.”

He expressed his disappointment regarding the societal perception that people who go to clubs get spoiled and that it brings about negativity. Director Kunwar claimed that LOD Club has, to some extent, been successful in challenging this prevailing social view of clubs.

“If your thoughts and intentions are good, you will be good anywhere,” he opined. “What can anyone do if your intentions are bad? Today, I say with confidence that it wouldn’t be wrong to say that LOD has initiated an environment where families can come to the club.” He emphasized that families can come and enjoy dancing and entertainment in a pleasant atmosphere.

He also claimed that LOD has started to be on the priority list of domestic and foreign tourists visiting Kathmandu. He believes that the DJ music has been able to attract music enthusiasts significantly. “Our guests can sit, dine, and enjoy themselves here,” he stated.

He clearly mentioned that it is the club’s responsibility to have well-spoken staff and to ensure the safety of the guests. According to Kunwar, the club currently employs more than 150 people.
