Lumbini Lavas signs Russian star Veronika Zubareva for Everest women’s volleyball league

Lumbini Lavas, a franchise team in the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League, has signed Russian player Veronika Zubareva.

The league is organized by Infinity Dreams Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the Nepal Volleyball Association. Zubareva, an outside hitter, is known for her strong presence as a middle blocker. She has played in several top Russian leagues and clubs, earning recognition for her strong blocking, quick reactions, and ability to score crucial points at the net. The club expects her to make an important contribution to the team.

Team manager Stuti Niraula said the names of two more foreign players will be announced in the coming days to strengthen Lumbini Lavas further. She believes the foreign players’ participation will make the team even stronger.

Through the earlier auction, the team has already signed Nepali national team players, including captain Arun Shahi, Kamala Bista, Alisa Manandhar, Santikala Tamang, Anusha Chaudhary, Roma Mahato, Jenisa Bishwakarma, and Rikjana Majhi, all of whom are currently in full training.

The second season of the Vatsalya Everest Women’s Volleyball League will take place in Pokhara from Bhadra 20 to 28 (September 5 to 13).
