Makawanpur police arrest two women with heroin and suspected drugs
Police in Makwanpur have arrested two young women with brown heroin.
The women were caught at Ratamate checkpoint in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-15. Police recovered 3 grams and 150 milligrams of brown heroin from them. The arrested are 29-year-old Samjhana Thing, originally from Jitpur-Simara but currently living in Hetauda-10, and 23-year-old Sonika Chhetri, originally from Dudhauli, Sindhuli, and also living in Hetauda-10.
They were traveling in an auto-rickshaw (registration no. 3-03-001 Ha 103) from Pathlaiya towards Hetauda when police found the drugs.
Police also seized 22 grams and 20 milligrams of a white sticky substance hidden inside a mobile charger, suspected to be another type of drug. Tests are being carried out to confirm it.
Both women are being held in custody for further investigation, according to Makawanpur District Police Office.
