Man dies in Sarlahi bike accident with tanker

A 31-year-old man died in a road accident after his motorcycle collided with a tanker in Sarlahi’s Lalbandi Municipality–1, Nawalpur.

The victim has been identified as Ram Bahadur Syangtang of Hariban Municipality–4, Sashapur. The crash happened at Bagwani Lachka, where a four-lane road is under construction and a culvert is being built.

According to Lalbandi Area Police Office, the accident occurred when a motorcycle (Ba 87 Pa 1370) heading toward Lalbandi collided with an empty oil tanker (Ko 1 Kha 5938) coming from the opposite direction.

Syangtang was seriously injured and was first taken to Model Hospital in Lalbandi. He was later referred to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa, where doctors declared him dead, said Police Inspector Birendra Singh Johari.

Police have taken both the tanker and its driver into custody for further investigation.
