A man was injured while trying to put out a fire at a mill in Manahari Rural Municipality of Makawanpur.
The fire broke out at a cellar mill connected to the house of 68-year-old Krishna Latoula, a resident of Manahari-1. He was burned while attempting to control the fire. According to reports, the fire started due to an electrical short circuit.
The house was completely destroyed by the fire. Items inside the house, including machinery from the mill, grains, and processed wood, were also burned. Police estimate the total loss to be around Rs 1.3 million.
The fire, which started around 2 PM on Monday, was fully brought under control by 5:30 PM with the help of a fire truck from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, police, and local residents.
