Manchester City defeated Wolves 4-0 in their Premier League opener. Erling Haaland scored twice, while Tiziani Reinders and Raian Cherki both scored their first Premier League goals on debut.
Haaland gave City the lead in the 34th minute with a goal from Rico Lewis’ cross. Just a minute later, Reinders scored with a one-touch finish from Akker Bob’s excellent pass.
Haaland added his second goal in the 61st minute. Cherki, who came on as a substitute for Haaland, scored in the 81st minute.
With the win, Manchester City started the season with three points.
In other league matches, Tottenham defeated Burnley 3-0, Sunderland beat West Ham United 3-0, Brighton and Fulham drew 1-1, and Aston Villa and Newcastle played a goalless draw.
