“The family talked with the auto driver around 5:19 PM in Gwaletar and were dropped near their home,” CDO Bhusal told Media.
The driver said the family walked home from the roadside. Gwaletar is the main market area and the family used to go there for shopping.
Police and officials, including the CDO, are currently questioning the driver for more details. However, no new information has been found yet.
The family disappeared after withdrawing government allowance from the bank on Thursday. Neighbors alerted local representatives after not seeing them for three days.
According to Laxman Hayu, president of the Hayu Association, the eldest son of the missing family, Raju Hayu, had returned home from abroad just a few days ago.
Since their house is in a quiet area, there were no disputes with neighbors, he added.
He also mentioned that one of the daughters lives in Pokhara. “The daughter and her husband stay in Pokhara. We heard she visits Sindhuli sometimes,” he said.
The son-in-law’s name is Samir Tamang, but the exact address in Pokhara is not known.
According to CDO Bhusal, the Nepal Police team led by the SP is searching for the family. An Armed Police team is also involved. The Home Ministry is being regularly updated.
