Mother and sister travel to Israel to search for Bipin

The mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, a youth from Kanchanpur kidnapped by Hamas, have traveled to Israel to demand his release. Padma Joshi and her daughter Pushpa arrived in Israel on Monday night.

At the airport, they were welcomed by former Israeli ambassador to Nepal Hanan Goder, Nepali ambassador Dhan Prasad Pandit, and Bipin’s friends.

Earlier, when Goder was in Nepal, he had visited Kanchanpur to meet Bipin’s family and had promised to help secure his safe release.

Padma and Pushpa traveled to Israel on Monday morning via a FlyDubai flight, with the help of the Israeli embassy in Nepal.

Bipin was kidnapped by Hamas from a kibbutz in southern Israel on October 7, 2023. The family’s trip aims to increase international pressure for his release. Israel also plans to take them to the United Nations to raise the issue.

Bipin had gone to Israel under the ‘Learn and Earn’ program to study agriculture when he was abducted.
