Two missing after jumping from Narayani bridge in Nawalparasi

Two people have gone missing after jumping off the Narayani River bridge that connects Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East) and Chitwan.

According to police, one person jumped in the morning and another in the evening on Monday, July 29, 2025.

Inspector Kamala Naral, head of the Gaindakot Area Police Office, said that around 7:45 PM, a woman around 42 years old jumped from the bridge and went missing. “Because it happened in the evening, the search operation has become more difficult,” she said. “The boy who jumped in the morning is also still missing.”

The boy has been identified as 15-year-old Adesh Shrestha from Gaindakot-5, but the woman’s identity is still unknown, police said.
