Ncell has become the first telecom company in Nepal to launch VoLTE international roaming service for both foreigners visiting Nepal and Nepali customers traveling abroad.

With this new service, Ncell users can now make clearer voice calls and use high-speed mobile data even while traveling outside Nepal. This helps customers stay connected with family, friends, and work wherever they go.

Ncell had already been offering inbound VoLTE roaming service to foreign visitors coming to Nepal. Now, starting from Monday, it has expanded this service by partnering with Airtel in India to offer outbound VoLTE roaming for Ncell customers traveling to India.

VoLTE (Voice over LTE) is a modern telecom technology that allows HD voice calls over a 4G network, offering faster connection and better call quality. Ncell says this new feature will improve its roaming service, especially for users traveling to India.

The company also said it is committed to offering the best data and voice experience to both tourists visiting Nepal and Nepali customers going abroad. Ncell is currently testing outbound VoLTE roaming with other major international telecom providers including:

  • India: Jio, Vodafone
  • USA: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon
  • Japan: SoftBank, NTT Docomo
  • China: China Mobile, China Unicom
  • Canada: Bell, Telus

For inbound VoLTE roaming, Ncell already supports users from Airtel and Jio (India), China Mobile (China), Ooredoo (Kuwait), Mobily (Saudi Arabia), AT&T (USA), and Viettel (Vietnam).

Ncell says it is expanding its global roaming network so that customers can stay connected anywhere in the world.
