Nepal has secured its second straight win in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, thanks to a hat-trick from team captain Sabitra Bhandari.

In Wednesday’s Group F match held at Milliy Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Nepal defeated Sri Lanka with a dominating score of 8–0.

Earlier, Nepal had thrashed Laos 9–0 in their opening game.

Along with Sabitra’s three goals, Geeta Rana scored twice. Nisha Thokar, Rekha Paudel, and Pooja Rana each added one goal to Nepal’s total.
