Nepal lost to Pakistan Shaheens by just 1 run in their final league match of the Top End T20 Series in Australia’s Northern Territory.

Chasing a target of 145, Nepal scored 143 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel scored the highest with 52 runs, while Dipendra Singh Airee remained unbeaten on 41, but it was not enough.

Nepal started slowly, but Rohit and Dipendra built a strong partnership to bring the team back. In the final over, Nepal needed 8 runs but managed only 6.

Earlier, Pakistan batted first after winning the toss and made 144 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Irfan Khan Niazi top-scored with an unbeaten 42, rescuing his team from a struggling 79-7.

For Nepal, Sompal Kami took 3 wickets giving away 30 runs in 4 overs. Nandan Yadav and Dipendra Singh Airee claimed 2 wickets each, while Kushal Bhurtel took 1.

With this defeat, Nepal’s journey in the tournament ended at the league stage.
