Thailand has secured a spot in the ICC Women’s World Cup Global Qualifier with one game still to play.
On Sunday, Thailand defeated the UAE by 54 runs in the Asia Qualifier’s ‘Super Three’ stage, bringing their total points to eight.
Nepal has five points and the UAE has six, with both teams having matches left to play. Nepal will face the UAE on Monday. If Nepal wins, they will qualify for the Global Qualifier. If they lose, they will be out of the tournament.
Thailand entered the Super Three after topping Group A. The UAE was the winner of Group B, and Nepal topped Group C. In this tournament, the points from the group stage are carried into the Super Three, which is why Nepal started at the bottom of the Super Three table with five points.
