

Nepali short film ‘Colour of Tea’ has won an award at the 12th International Documentary Festival Ierapetra and Awards in Greece.
The festival officially released the list of awarded films on its website, stating that the second festival prize goes to the international short film ‘Colour of Tea,’ written and directed by Raj Sargam from Nepal.
The 12th International Documentary Festival Ierapetra and Awards in Greece promotes the best long and short documentaries and films from around the world in its competitive section.
‘Colour of Tea’ tells the story of Dalit indigenous people from Madhesh who quietly resist subtle attacks and violence caused by caste discrimination.
The film had earlier won the Best Award at the Korea Gyeonggi International Film Festival in July for the Sustainable Development Goals 2025.
It has also reached the quarter-finals at the Kobani International Film Festival in Germany, scheduled for September.
