Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited the drought-affected areas of the Terai-Madhes region today.
On July 22, the government had declared the entire Madhes Province a disaster crisis zone for three months due to the lack of rainfall affecting rice planting.
Earlier, PM Oli had held discussions with ministers, the provincial government, and top officials about how to address the problem caused by the dry conditions.
He is also scheduled to attend programs in Mahottari and Bara districts.
