A clash broke out at the juvenile reform home in Biratnagar on Wednesday afternoon between juvenile detainees and police.
According to DSP Hasta Bahadur Sunar of Morang District Police Office, one senior police head constable was injured in the incident.
Additional police have been deployed to prevent further trouble, and a team led by Morang Police Chief SP Narayan Chimariya is at the scene. Sunar said the situation is now under control.
The reform home currently houses 249 boys.
