Prime Minister Oli visiting Biratnagar today to inaugurate Jeevan Bikas Community Hospital

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is visiting Biratnagar today to inaugurate the Jeevan Bikas Community Hospital and Technical Education Foundation, which has a capacity of 200 beds.

He will arrive at 1 PM on a Nepal Army helicopter and is scheduled to return at 3 PM after attending the inauguration program.

The hospital has been built in Haldibari, Katahari Rural Municipality–2 of Morang district, under the leadership of Jeevan Bikas Samaj. The project cost is around 2 billion rupees.

According to Yogendra Mandal, chairman of the hospital and Member of Parliament from Morang-5, the hospital will be run under a non-profit model based on the idea of social enterprise. The goal is to provide affordable and equal healthcare access to all citizens.

Jeevan Bikas Samaj was established in 1997 (2054 BS) with the vision of a poverty-free Nepal. Since then, it has been working to improve the lives of rural and low-income communities by offering services in microfinance, education, health, agriculture, and job creation.
