Punjab Kings have signed Australian all-rounder Mitch Owen for the remaining matches of IPL 2025.
The team brought him in after another Australian all-rounder, Glenn Maxwell, was ruled out of the tournament due to a finger injury. Owen was signed for ₹3 crore.
Mitch Owen, who comes from Tasmania, is a talented all-rounder. He has played 34 T20 matches so far, scoring 646 runs, including two centuries. His highest score is 108. He has also taken 10 wickets in his career.
In the last Big Bash League season, Owen opened the innings for Hobart Hurricanes and played brilliantly. In the final against Sydney Thunder, he scored a century in just 42 balls and helped Hobart win the title.
