Barcelona forward Raphinha has extended his contract with the Catalan club until 2028.
The Brazilian international has had an excellent season, scoring 34 goals and providing 25 assists in 56 matches.
Coach Hansi Flick relied on Raphinha more than any other player this season.
However, the top scorer for Barcelona this season was Robert Lewandowski, who netted 40 goals.
Raphinha, 28, scored the most goals for Barcelona in the Champions League this season, with 13. Still, the team was knocked out in the semifinals after losing to Inter Milan.
In all four El Clásico matches against Real Madrid this season, which Barcelona won, Raphinha scored five of the team’s 16 goals.
Thanks to Raphinha’s strong performances, Barcelona won the Spanish La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup this season.
Raphinha joined Barcelona in 2022 from English club Leeds United. In his first season, he scored 10 goals and made 12 assists. In the 2023–24 season, he had 10 goals and 13 assists.
