RSP leader Arnico Panday arrested over social media abuse case
Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) central member Dr. Arnico Panday has been arrested. He was taken into custody on charges of verbally abusing a woman through social media.
Cyber Bureau SP Dipakraj Awasthi said the arrest was made after the woman filed a complaint. According to him, a court issued the arrest warrant today, and Pandey was arrested in the evening. He will be taken to court tomorrow for an extension of custody.
Pandey, who is also an environmentalist, joined the Rastriya Swatantra Party in September 2022 under the leadership of Rabi Lamichhane. He later served as a member of the National Planning Commission in 2023 when the party was in government.
