Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki, controversial royalist Durga Prasai reach Jangi Adda with army security

Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki was brought to Jangi Adda, Bhadrakali, under special army security.

At the same time, controversial royalist Durga Prasai also arrived at the army base with military protection. After their arrival, a large crowd of Gen Z protesters and media personnel gathered outside the gate.

On Wednesday, a five-hour-long virtual meeting by Gen Z activists decided to propose Sushila as the interim government’s prime minister.

However, there were also protests outside the base supporting Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Sah and Dharan Mayor Hark Sampang.

The crowd outside the base is shouting slogans loudly. Tensions have also risen between Indian and Nepali media personnel covering the event. To control the situation, the army is now using microphones to disperse the crowd.
