Teaser of Nepali film ‘Balidan’ released

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 16 – The teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Balidan’ has been released. Directed by Santosh Sen, the 1 minute 50 seconds teaser shows a mix of action, emotion, anger, patriotism, and drama.

The teaser presents a simple story. It is basically a tale of revenge. When a village becomes the target of enemies and faces injustice and cruelty, a hero rises to stop them and seeks justice by taking revenge.

The teaser also introduces the film’s characters. Actors Saugat Malla, Samir Bhatt, Richa Sharma, Santosh Sen, Arpan Thapa, and Hemant Budhathoki appear in the teaser.

At the start, narration describes a part of the country under enemy attack, showing it is hard to stop them. Saugat Malla appears carrying a spear, while Budhathoki is shown in royal attire, and Thapa plays a political leader.

Richa Sharma is seen calling on the hero to stop injustice in front of the Kalimata statue. In the background, scenes of indigenous people living in the forest appear, with director Sen also acting as one of the indigenous characters.

Samir Bhatt enters later in the teaser, earning the title “Action King.” His action sequences are highlighted strongly.

Director Sen said that ‘Balidan’ is not just a movie but a symbol of rebellion in the hearts of every Nepali. The film is produced under the banner of Aasusen Films Pvt. Ltd., with Pawan Bradford Bista as producer and Prem Puri as executive producer.

The film is scheduled to be released on Ashoj 13 (29 September), during the Dashain Phulpati festival.
