Bayern Munich’s experienced player, Thomas Müller, could win his 13th Bundesliga title if his team beats RB Leipzig this Saturday. This might be his final season with the club, as he nears the end of a 25-year journey with Bayern.

Right now, Bayern is 8 points ahead of defending champions Bayer Leverkusen, with only three games left. If Bayern wins against Leipzig on Saturday, they will be crowned champions two games early.

Bayern last won at Leipzig’s home in 2021. Even if they don’t win this time, they could still become champions if Leverkusen fails to beat Freiburg on Sunday.

For Müller, this title could be a special farewell. He joined Bayern at the age of 10 and recently played his 500th Bundesliga game. Over the years, he has won 32 trophies with the club, including two Champions League titles. But Bayern is not planning to extend his contract, so he is expected to leave after this season.

No player has ever won 13 Bundesliga titles. In Europe’s top five leagues, only Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has achieved that many league titles.

“It sounds nice, doesn’t it?” Müller said in an interview with the Bundesliga website on Wednesday. “I won my first title in 2010. When you lift that trophy, you know it’s not easy. It takes hard work and consistency all season.”

Even though there is talk about his departure, Müller says he is fully focused on helping Bayern win the title. “When it comes to pride, I’m someone who thinks about what’s next. It’s fun to look back, but in life, you have to keep moving forward,” he said.
