Today’s Weather in Nepal: August 19, 2025

Today (August 19), moderate rainfall is expected in some hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as at a few places in the Terai region of Madhesh Province.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a chance of heavy rainfall at a few hilly places in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

The monsoon is slightly weak as the monsoon trough is lying south of its normal position, but moist winds from the Bay of Bengal are still entering Nepal.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and other provinces, while other areas will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall is likely in some hilly and Terai areas of Koshi Province and in a few hilly and Terai areas of other provinces. Heavy rainfall is also possible at a few places in the hills and Terai of Koshi Province.
