Today’s weather in Nepal: July 11th, 2025

The Weather Forecast Department says there will be heavy rain in one or two places in five provinces today.
These provinces are Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali.

Currently, the whole country is under the influence of the monsoon wind.
The monsoon low-pressure line is near normal in the east and a little north of normal in the west.

So, today during the day, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy all over the country.
Some hilly areas in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces may have light to medium rain with thunder and lightning.
One or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali may get heavy rain.
Some high mountain areas may get light to medium rain or snow.

At night, some places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may have light to medium rain with thunder and lightning.

Because of the possible rain, there is a risk of floods, landslides, and fast river flow.
The department warns people living in cities and the Terai area to be careful of flooding.

Water levels in big and small rivers and streams may rise.
Daily life, farming, health, tourism, roads near rivers, and air travel may be affected.
Everyone is asked to be careful and prepare in advance.
