Currently, the weather in western and central parts of Nepal is being affected by western and local winds, while most areas of Koshi Province are experiencing monsoon winds.

According to the Department of Weather Forecasting, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati Provinces and other hilly regions. The rest of the country has mostly clear weather. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is happening at a few places in Koshi and Madhesh Provinces.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi and other hilly areas, while the rest of the country will have mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, and at one or two places in the hilly areas of other provinces. Light rain or snowfall is also possible in one or two places in the high hills and mountain regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy in Koshi and other hilly areas, while the rest of the country will have mostly clear skies. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, and at one or two places in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. Light rain or snowfall may also occur in one or two places in the high hills and mountain areas of these provinces.

As light rain or snowfall is likely in a few places of the high hill and Himalayan regions, the department has advised people to stay prepared. Daily life, farming, health, road, and air travel could be affected, so people are requested to take necessary precautions.
