Tractor Accident in Kalikot Kills Four

Four people have died in a tractor accident in Kalikot.

According to the Kalikot District Police Office, the tractor, which was carrying food and goods from Thirpu (Palanta-9) to Chhala (Palanta-4), went off the road near Budadanda (Palanta-2) last night.

The people who died in the accident are:

• Chandra Prakash Rokaya (25), the tractor driver from Khatiyad-5, Mugu
• Rabindra BK (21) from Palanta-4, Kalikot
• Sadu Budha (32) from the same area
• Amba Shahi, a woman estimated to be 25 or 26 years old, from Salliikot, Palanta-5

According to Police Chief Tek Bahadur Rawat, all four died at the scene.

The tractor had fallen down a steep hillside and got stuck, while the bodies were found about 200 meters below the road.

After receiving the news, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhim Bahadur Sunar from Thirpu Police Station reached the site at night.

Due to the steep and difficult terrain, the police have not been able to reach the tractor, and the tractor’s number is still unknown.
