Two unidentified bodies were found in the Trishuli River in Dhading. The bodies were discovered buried in muddy soil near the riverbank. Police say an investigation is underway to identify the deceased.

Meanwhile, a funeral being held near the river was disrupted by a sudden flood. The incident took place at Charaundi, in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality–7.

According to rural municipality chairman Krishna Bahadur Thapaliya ‘Bibek’, a relative had passed away at 5 AM on Tuesday. The body was being cremated near the riverbank, but around 9:30 AM, a sudden rise in the river swept away the burning pyre along with the remains of the body.
