Two people were injured in Chaurajahari, Rukum West, after being attacked with a sharp weapon.
The incident happened on Thursday evening in the market area of Chaurajahari Municipality-1. The victims are 30-year-old Santosh BK and 35-year-old Rita Budha Pun, both residents of the same ward.
According to the Rukum West District Police Office, 31-year-old Abhay Sunar, also from the same ward, attacked them with a sharp knife (khukuri) following an argument with Santosh while under the influence of alcohol.
Santosh was cut on the middle part of his left hand, and Rita was injured when she tried to separate the two men.
Both were taken to ChauraJahari Hospital for treatment. Santosh was later referred to Nepalgunj for further care, while Rita was treated and discharged.
