Two paragliders crashed into Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Kaski, while trying to land. Fortunately, all four people involved were safely rescued by the Armed Police Force.
The paragliders had taken off from Torepani in Pokhara Metropolitan City–18. While landing, both gliders went out of control and fell into the middle of the lake.
Right after the incident, a rescue team from the Armed Police Force Kalika Battalion No. 24, stationed at the Fewa Rescue Tower, carried out the rescue operation.
According to DSP Shailendra Thapa, the rescued individuals include two tourists from Banaras, India — Aklesh Yadav (41) and Chandan Kumar Patel (35), along with two Nepali pilots — Milan Shah (30) from Agni Paragliding and Bishwas Adhikari (28) from Happy Fly Paragliding.
