Police have arrested two women for allegedly cheating people by promising high-paying jobs in Albania.
The arrested individuals are 35-year-old Bimala Danuwar from Udayapur, currently living in Kathmandu Metropolitan City–7, and 48-year-old Ramkumari Rokha Magar from Pokhara, currently living in Nagarjun Municipality–1, Kathmandu, according to Nepal Police Headquarters.
Danuwar is accused of taking Rs 800,000 from four people, while Rokha Magar took Rs 200,000 from two others. After receiving the money, both women reportedly disappeared and cut off contact.
Based on complaints, a police team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku arrested them on Thursday.
They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal for further investigation and legal action.
