The fire that broke out in Bamka Bazaar of Budhiganga Municipality-6, Bajura, has caused massive destruction in the area.
According to Mayor Ram Bahadur Baniya, more than 40 shops have been completely destroyed. Speaking from the site, he told Media, “It’s a huge fire. At least 40 shops have been fully damaged. The total loss is yet to be confirmed.”
There have been no human casualties, but the municipality lacked a fire engine, making it harder to control the blaze. Firefighters used bulldozers and water tankers to bring the situation under control.
The fire started at 3:55 PM after a gas cylinder exploded at Navadurga Hotel, according to the District Police Office, Bajura.
