The monsoon’s low-pressure line has moved north, close to Nepal’s Tarai region.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Forecast Division, skies will be mostly cloudy across the country on Tuesday afternoon. Many hilly areas and some parts of the Tarai in Madhesh Province and other provinces may see moderate rain. There is also a chance of heavy rain in one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi Province.

The department said skies will remain fully cloudy across the country on Tuesday night. Many hilly and Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces may get moderate rain. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely in some hilly and Tarai areas of Madhesh, Koshi, and Bagmati provinces, while one or two places in the hilly and Tarai areas of Gandaki and the Tarai of Lumbini Province may also get heavy rain.
