A woman has been brutally murdered in Kunchhal village, Thaha Municipality-1 of Makawanpur district.
The incident happened around 2:15 PM on Thursday. According to police, 55-year-old Tulumaya Gopali was killed by 35-year-old Jiban Gopali using a sharp weapon.
Jiban Gopali, who is her younger brother-in-law and neighbor, attacked her with the weapon, resulting in her death.
After the incident, Jiban went to the Palung Area Police Office with the weapon at around 3:40 PM and surrendered himself.
Police have taken him into custody and are investigating the case further. The reason behind the murder is not yet known. Police say they are taking the case seriously and have started the necessary legal process.
