A woman was found dead in Janakpur. Shobha Mandal, 23 years old, wife of Chandan Mandal, was found dead at her home in Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-4.
According to police inspector Anil Baitha from Dhanusha district police office, they received news around 12:30 AM that she had died by hanging at home. When the police arrived, they found her body on the bed. The family told the police that after seeing her hanging, they cut the rope and placed her body on the bed.
The police said they will know more after the post-mortem report. They are investigating the case.
On the other hand, Shobha’s family (maiti) claims that she was murdered. They said there were family fights about dowry issues.
Shobha was married to Chandan five years ago. They have one daughter. Her family home is in Bardibas Municipality-14, Maithan, Mahottari district.
