25 sheep killed by snow leopard in Dolpa’s Bada Kharka Lake area
In Tripurasundari Municipality-2, Dolpa, a snow leopard attacked livestock at Bada Kharka Lake, killing 25 sheep, according to affected farmers.
The attack happened at night while the sheep were left grazing in the pasture. Yam Bahadur Basnet, Deputy Inspector of Tripurakot Police Post, confirmed the incident.
Among the dead sheep, 11 belonged to Nari Thapa, 5 to Laxmi Rokaya, 3 to Padam Budha, and 3 each to Hari KC and Bal Bahadur Ukhade.
The farmers are demanding compensation for their loss.
