Two boys have died after drowning in a pond in Mahottari.
One of the boys was from Mahottari and the other from Saptari, according to police. The incident happened at a pond located in Manara Brahmasthan, Manara Siswa Municipality-1.
The victims have been identified as 10-year-old Shubham Kumar, son of Bikesh Singh from Manara Brahmasthan, and 9-year-old Ayush Kumar Singh, son of Rupesh Singh from Patharghata Laxmipatti, Dakneshwori Municipality-9, Saptari.
Both boys had gone to swim in the pond when they drowned. They were taken to Nagar Hospital in Manra for treatment, but the hospital said they died during treatment.
