Two boys died while swimming in the Mardi River dam in Kaski.
The boys went missing around 1:45 PM on Thursday while swimming in the dam located at Hemja, Pokhara Metropolitan City–25. Later, their bodies were found.
According to Armed Police Deputy Superintendent and spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, the victims were 14-year-old Bishal Pariyar and 13-year-old Bibash Pariyar from Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality–6.
After receiving information about the incident, a rescue team with divers was sent from the Armed Police Force’s Kalika Battalion No. 24 in Kaski under the command of Inspector Dipendra Katwal. The team recovered the boys’ bodies from about 20 feet deep.
