According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, western and central parts of Nepal are currently experiencing the effects of western and local winds, while most areas of Koshi Province are under the influence of the monsoon.

This afternoon, the weather across the country will be partly to generally cloudy. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpashchim provinces, and in a few places in the other provinces. One or two places in Koshi Province may receive heavy rainfall. Light rain or snowfall is also likely in some high-hill and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, the weather in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, including hilly areas of the country, will remain partly to generally cloudy. Other parts of the country are expected to have clear weather. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in some places of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two hilly areas of other provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi and Madhesh provinces. Light rain or snowfall is also possible in high-hill and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
