Nepal Eyes Hat-Trick of Wins Today

Nepal is currently touring Scotland for the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2. So far, Nepal has played two matches and won both with great performances.

Nepal, still fighting to stay in the top four in the points table, won a thrilling match against the home team Scotland by one wicket. They also comfortably beat another visiting team, the Netherlands, by five wickets. This shows Nepal has started the year well.

With 10 points from 14 matches, Nepal aims to rise at least to sixth place during this tour. Nepal will play Scotland again on Sunday. The match will start at 3:45 PM Nepal time.

Scotland has played four more matches than Nepal and is in fourth place with 22 points. Although Scotland lost to Nepal by one wicket, they bounced back by defeating the Netherlands by 44 runs in the second game of this series. The Netherlands is not an easy team to beat.

The Netherlands, having played 22 matches, is second on the table with 26 points. Nepal has already beaten two of the top four teams and aims to keep this winning streak going with a third win.

So far, Nepal and Scotland have played nine matches. Nepal has won five, Scotland has won three, and one match ended with no result. Nepal’s biggest loss to Scotland was on July 17, 2022, when Scotland beat Nepal by eight wickets in Glasgow.

Although Nepal hasn’t won by a big margin, they have beaten Scotland twice by five wickets in the same year. The first win was in Glasgow, and the second win was on October 29, 2024, in Dallas.

Since then, Nepal and Scotland have played twice more. One match was canceled, and in the other, Nepal won in a thrilling finish by holding one wicket on the last ball.

Nepal plans to keep this good form going.
