Two Young Sisters Drown in Bhaiya Pond, Janakpurdham

Two young sisters tragically drowned this morning while bathing in Bhaiya Pond, located in Kapileshwar Bazar, Ward-16 of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Barun Bahadur Singh, the victims were four-year-old Aarohi Kumari Raut and her three-year-old sister Maithili Kumari Raut, both locals of the area.

Local resident Kailash Raut said the girls had gone to the pond to bathe, but got stuck in deep water and could not be saved in time.

They were taken to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead. Their bodies have been sent to Provincial Hospital Janakpurdham for post-mortem.
