A 22-year-old man drowned while bathing in a canal of the Rani Jamara Kulariya Irrigation Project in Baghmara, Lamki Chuha Municipality-6, Kailali today.
The deceased has been identified as Prem Rasaili from Aathbis Municipality-2, Dailekh, according to Lokendra Bahadur Singh, chief of the Lamki Area Police Office.
Rasailee was living at his in-laws’ house in Gulara, Lamkichuha-6.
In recent days, drowning cases have been rising in the district. Just on Friday, two brothers from the same family drowned in a river in Gauriganga Municipality.
They were identified as Umesh Dhami (25) and Prakash Dhami (20), sons of Lalu Dhami from Aitha, Ward 11. Both drowned in the Likma River.
