A new bell gate has been built at the famous Pathibhara temple in Taplejung to manage the large number of bells offered by devotees over the years.

According to Prajin Hangbang, Executive Director of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, the bell gate is located about 500 meters below the main entrance of the temple. It stands 3 meters tall and 3 meters wide.

Rows of bells have been hung along the path from the main gate to the bell gate, creating a spiritual and decorative walkway for visitors. In addition, a bell and trishul park has also been built at the temple site to organize and preserve the old bells and tridents (trishuls) offered by worshippers.

The total cost of the project was 30 lakh rupees—10 lakh for the bell gate, 10 lakh for hanging bells along the path, and another 10 lakh for the bell and trishul park.

Previously, there was controversy after discussions about auctioning off old bells offered by devotees. Following the criticism, the temple committee decided to create a proper space to preserve and display these religious offerings respectfully.
