A woman has died after being stung by a hornet in Palpa district.
According to Police Superintendent Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, 57-year-old Danukumari Rawat from Ramapur Municipality-2, Sera, died after being stung by a black hornet.
She was collecting firewood in a nearby community forest when the hornet attacked her. Seriously injured, she was first taken to Ramapur Hospital and later referred to Lumbini Medical College, Prabhas, where she died during treatment.
Her body has been handed over to the family after postmortem, police said.
