A fire broke out this morning at Bagaicha Adventure Resort located in Ward No. 11 of Gaindakot Municipality, Eastern Nawalparasi. The fire started in the main hall and reception area of the resort, which can accommodate up to 500 people. The main building was damaged by the flames.
The resort, which is mostly made of wood, is believed to have caught fire due to an electrical short circuit. Firefighters from Kawasoti Municipality and Bharatpur Metropolitan City, along with police and locals, helped bring the fire under control. Authorities are still collecting details about the extent of the damage.
The resort was built using “rammed earth” technology by Santosh Dhital, who returned from abroad and spent nine years building it. It officially opened just one and a half years ago.
The resort was constructed without using tiles or marble. Instead, it featured all-wood villas, along with unique kite and cart houses also made from wood.
