Home minister calls meeting after deadly Kailali prison clash
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has called a meeting with security chiefs to discuss a clash at Kailali Prison that left one person dead.
The meeting was called on Saturday after a fight broke out in the prison on Friday night, killing Bharat Chaudhary of Dhangadhi-4 and injuring 47 others. The injured are receiving treatment.
Prisoners have now taken control of the jail, and the security situation has become chaotic. According to the minister’s secretariat, he will discuss the matter with security officials.
