A man has died after being beaten in Palung Mainadi, Ribdikot Rural Municipality-7, Palpa. Police said 44-year-old Ram Bahadur Argali was attacked by his neighbor, Jhabindra Khamcha.
According to SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai of Palpa District Police Office, the incident happened after both had been drinking alcohol. Argali was injured in a minor dispute, taken to the hospital for treatment, and later returned home, where he died.
Police have arrested Khamcha for investigation. They said the two were friends and were walking together before the incident. It has not yet been confirmed whether the assault was planned.
