According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon is currently weaker in Nepal as the monsoon trough is located south of its normal position. However, moist air from the Bay of Bengal is still entering Nepal.
In Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and other hilly areas, the weather will be generally cloudy, while other areas will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rainfall is likely in some places of Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and a few areas of the Tarai.
In Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, hilly regions will remain mostly cloudy, while other areas will be partly cloudy. Light rain is expected in many parts of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki, with chances of moderate rain in some areas. Heavy rain is also possible in a few hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki, meteorologists have warned.
